Gears of War 4

Xbox One Experience


With the Gears of War franchise, Xbox users were given the Media Experience of having the opportunity to play the beta which gave users insights of the upcoming Gears of War 4 pre-launch.


I handled the UI and the visual design of the user experience in collaboration with a team of designers and Devs to increase user engagement with exclusive content.

Challenges


We learn the Gears of War 4 Media Experience had a vertical scroll real estate that had a decline in users' engagement in a section.


Solution


With the updated version of the experience, the team and I shortened the length of the layout into two parts which provided the users with a viewport of the second layout. This resulted to an increase of user engagement.

Friends Playing now


In this experience, we adapted a "Friend’s playing now" feature button which provides a better list of your friends and social functionality.

Campaign


The layout shows insights into the new characters, weapons, trailers and trivia which allows users to easily navigate the items from top to bottom.
